Headquartered in New Delhi, Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) is a non-for-profit organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860,  that works to find solutions to bridge the digital divide. DEF’s mission is to empower the under-served communities and create information-empowered societies. Using ICT and digital tools DEF works with a multi-stakeholder approach to have inclusive and equitable communities where access to information, knowledge and services is for all, at all times and across all geographic locations.  With over 200 community information, knowledge and resource centres, with more than 25000 network of grassroots NGOs/CBOs/CSOs and more than 200 MSMEs in India, South Asia and Africa, DEF continues to contribute to a wider network of communities with information, content,  knowledge, service and resource ecosystem.
